Break Through, Don’t Break Down

Ready to move beyond what’s holding you back? EMDR intensives offer deep, focused healing so you can reclaim your life — with less wait and more impact.

Who are EMDR intensives for?

These intensives are for people who are:

  • Ready to heal past trauma that’s interfering with their success or joy

  • Experiencing grief, anxiety, or burnout that feels stuck

  • High-functioning but emotionally overwhelmed

  • Already in therapy and looking for deeper work to supplement progress

  • Short on time but committed to healing

What to expect

  • Let’s talk about your goals and whether an intensive is right for you. This is a free service I provide to answer any quick questions you might have before booking the intake session. This is an opportunity for both of us to get a feel for each other and determine if an intake is the next step.

  • During this session, we’ll map out what needs attention and ensure EMDR is the right fit. I’ll gather some background information and we will collaborate on how to structure the intensive to best serve your goals.

  • If you decide to move forward with the intensive, I will send you a personalized welcome guide with exercises, journal prompts, and tips to prepare for your intensive journey.

  • The day of, we will meet in-person or virtually and move through the process with care and intention.

  • We’ll reconnect within a week to reflect, process, and support you in moving forward in your journey.

Why Intensives Work

Traditional therapy helps you heal over time. But sometimes, life doesn't give us time. EMDR intensives are designed to target and shift core beliefs and memories that keep you stuck — helping your nervous system reset, and giving you tools to feel safe, grounded, and free.

Healing doesn’t always happen best in bits and pieces. Like a struggling plant placed in the right environment — with consistent warmth, care, and light — transformation can happen faster when the conditions are just right.

That’s what EMDR intensives offer: a greenhouse for your healing.

In weekly therapy, it can take months to build momentum. Life interrupts. Stress builds back up. But with an intensive, you're stepping into a protected, focused space — away from distractions — where your nervous system can stay engaged and supported long enough to actually process and shift.

Just like a greenhouse shields a plant from harsh weather while encouraging deep roots and new growth, this space is designed to help you:

  • Stay in a regulated state long enough to process old pain

  • Access and shift limiting beliefs that were formed in survival mode

  • Rewire your brain’s responses to triggers, stress, or self-doubt

  • Experience a full arc of emotional work in one contained experience

And with the guidance of a skilled EMDR therapist and a structure designed for integration, what felt overwhelming can start to feel manageable. What felt frozen can begin to thaw. You can move forward — not because the past disappears, but because it no longer defines you.

This isn’t a quick fix. It’s focused healing in fertile conditions — so that when you walk out, you’re already rooted in something new.

 FAQs

  • EMDR is evidence-based and effective for trauma, anxiety, grief, phobias, and more. An intensive session isn’t a quick fix. While it can provide relief as a standalone experience, it’s best experienced as a supplement to ongoing work. An intensive allows you to break through in a meaningful way and clear the path for continued healing.

  • Absolutely. These intensives can supplement your current therapy work and are designed to integrate smoothly.

I am happy to connect with your therapist, upon request, to gather additional information you feel may be beneficial for me to know moving into our work together.

  • Once you book, you’ll receive a welcome guide to help you prepare emotionally and logistically for the experience. I also recommend booking at a time that allows you to have a day or two to rest and recover afterwards.

  • You’ll have a follow-up session and referrals for ongoing support if needed. Some clients also choose to book multiple intensives or multiple follow up sessions for maintenance care.

  • Insurance typically does not reimburse for intensive sessions. I am able to provide a superbill, upon request, that would display the codes of service.
